PLAY is a must see for Louisvillians and tourists alike. The venue is spacious and fun with plenty of room for a crowd without getting cramped. The bar is fab, the DJ is awesome and of course the shows are always phenomenal. They have theme nights regularly which add to the fun and the dance floor is great too. PLAY has something for every taste including three different sections: the stage area (drag shows), the dance floor, and a quieter bar area with a patio. Unlike so many bars they are always pristine clean, organized, and an active supporter of the louisville community as well as being clearly dedicated to going above and beyond for the LGBT community. Quickly becoming the hub of the #1 gay community in the Mid-West if not the nation. They have events to fundraise for causes and they are always packed for each and every one! The Emcee is Leah Halston, she is wonderful! Hilarious, gets the crowd involved and can pull off a Tina Turner or Whitney Houston and turn around and rock a Beyoncé number in the same show and the PLAY mates are all absolutely entertaining. All are welcome and it is a guaranteed good time.
